Suggest Medication For A Swollen Eye

I saw my Doctor 2 weeks ago and he discovered I had a nasal polyp. The spray he gave me improved things for a few days but, over the last 2 days, my right eye has swollen badly and the pain is stopping me from sleeping, although Paracetamol helps. I saw my Doctor again this morning and he gave me more drops. Is this the best course of action, given I seem to be affected on one nostril only? Could a broken nose from almost 20 years ago be a reason for it? Will my eye get better with the drops? Thanks!
