Suggest Medication For Abdominal Pain, Diarrhea And Dry Mouth

I have had stomach pain for 4 days now. I am a teacher and a stomach flu has been going around. On the 3rd night I had severe gas pains and uncontrollable diarrhea. My stomach pain isn t subsiding and I am unable to eat anything that isn t bland. I have had dry mouth for about a week.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have abdominal pain, diarrhea and dry mouth. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like food poisoning , iron poisoning , irritable bowel syndrome , sickle cell disease , dehydration , lactose intolerance , medication reaction or side-effect or ulcerative colitis . I would suggest you to consult gastroenterologist for proper examination . Doctor will take history , order stool test , and endoscopy . Doctor may prescribe loperamide , ornidazole , laxative along with analgesic . For now eat light and small meals , its very important to keep yourself hydrated and take proper rest .
