Suggest Medication For Abortion And Ways To Test For Pregnancy

Hi, I am on Microgynon 30 ED and have been for 11 years. I normally have very consistent withdrawal bleeds starting 2 days into the sugar pills, been very heavy for the first 3 days and then lighter until day 6 or 7. I skipped the sugar pills and missed my last withdrawal bleed (which I have done several times before with no issues). My withdrawal bleed was due on the 13th of January, however I started bleeding the day before very lightly (hardly enough for a tampon), then the same on the 13th then nothing. I took a pregnancy test on the 15th and today and both are negative. I have had light cramping all week and a feeling of fullness. I also feel like there is sometimes pressure on my lower abdomen. Is it possible that I could still be pregnant? Thanks Ange

Hi,
The practice of skipping sugar pills ,taking active pills of fresh pack insted & thus skipping withdrawal bleeding may seem to be convenient, but it's not advisable- for it results in hormonal imbalance, causing disturbed menstrual cycle.
Now the bleeding you have represents the same.
Pregnancy is not possible because you are taking pills continuously. It only gets +ve due to pregnancy hormone chorionic gonadotrophin.
Now, I would advice you to stop the pills, till you have completed withdrawal bleeding-( It may take few days to couple of weeks. Let the uterus be empty & then start with new pack. A consultation of gynecologist before that is ideal.
Thanks.
