Hallow Dear,

Five months is quite an advanced pregnancy for termination of pregnancy. There are some countries in which termination of pregnancy is illegal after 20 weeks of pregnancy. So before you attempt for termination of pregnancy, please get the legal status clarified.

WHO has recommended Tab. Mifepristone and Tab. Misoprostol combination for termination of pregnancy up to 24 weeks of gestation. However, it does need close supervision of an expert Gynaecologist and hence should be carried out in a well equipped hospital.

Moreover, these medicines cause developmental abnormalities in the baby. Hence, in case they fail to terminate the pregnancy, the pregnancy should be terminated by some other methods like Extra-amniotic Ethacredine lactate or Hysterotomy or Evacuation of the uterus - all these methods do carry their own risks.

Morning sickness is not a mandatory feature of the pregnancy.

Before you attempt termination of pregnancy, please get the duration of the pregnancy ascertained by ultrasonography. Then your Gynaecologist would be well equipped to choose the method of termination.

I hope this helps you.
