Suggest Medication For Acne

hey I am 54 years old and I have this pimple on my cheek. I have tried hard not to touch it. It has been on my cheek for over a month it looks like a hole and hurts like all get out. I went to my doctor and she gave me a shot in my face (did this twice) . She said it is acne vulu---- (do not know how to spell it). I was looking on line and was wondering if acneace would be a good thing for me?

Hi,

According history you gave and treatment by your doctor,it seems that probably the lesion would be cystic acne. Your doctor would have given itralesional steroid. Do not worry..you will be alright after few weeks treatment and injection given by yor doctor in the cyst. However.. you may follow as below...

- azithromycin 500 mg thrice a week
- isotretinoin 10 mg once a day
- itralesional triamcenolone 10 mg injection repeat after one month
- regular follow up
