There are nasal drops available for treating blocked nose. Saline nasal drops is safe and effective in relieving blocked nose in children; if it is not found to be effective nasal drops containing combinations of drugs (a nasal decongestant plus an antihistamine) are available; however these nasal drops are to be used for a short term period of 3-4 days only. Their prolonged use may destroy nasal septum. Promethazine syrup is another safe medicine for children for cold; apart from relieving cold it also produces good sleep. You can use any of the medicines mentioned above.
