Suggest Medication For Congested Nose, Cough With Chest Pain And Sore Throat
I had a very runny nose, am a clap user. My doctor put me on nasacort, zertec d in the morning zertec in the evening and singular at bedtime. After a week on the meds, it has now turned to a very full head with greenish yellow mucus a raw, sore throat, horsiness, a cough that hurts my head and my chest which seems to have a lot of mucus too. Some of my coughs go straight down my right chest about an inch wide to the top of my breast. I have some Mucinex 600mg extended release. Can I stop the other meds and take the Mucinex to relieve the congestion or should I just take in in addition to what I am already taking.
Hello, Welcome to HCM. I have read your history carefully. Firstly, you should stop nasacort as your problem has been aggravated in last 1 week and there is a chance of bacterial infection. You can add mucinex to the remaining medicines but then take zertec instead of zertec D. It is also advisable to add an antibiotic here like augmentin or azithromycine as you might have developed bacterial infection over the allergy. Hope this will be helpful. Do let me know if you have any further questions. Take care.
