Suggest Medication For Cramps From Bowels Due To Flareup Of Chron S Disease
Hi ,please advice: my 43 yo daughter is having cramps from her bowells, due to a fleareup of Chron s Disease. I wonder if Buscopan Plus ( with Paracetamol or Acethaminophen) contains any Caffeine like Tylenols I, II,III, wich she is allergic to. She has had before Buscopan inyecctions at the hospital for emergencies withouth any problems and now it is available in tablets at the pharmacy with no need of any prescriptions. Thanks in advance, Aurora
Your daughter should get a follow up clinical examination done. She will be treated with a course of antibiotics to reduce the harmful bacteria that is causing inflammation in the intestine and thus the symptoms. She should only take acetaminophen as other pain relieving medicines can worsen the symptoms.
She should take vitamin and nutritional supplements if she is not absorbing sufficient quantity of nutrients. She will be treated with immunosuppressants, anti inflammatory medications, corticosteroids, amino-saliscylates, etc.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
