Suggest Medication For Cuts/wound In Finger

just cut my hand while cutting chicken with a scissor.between my thumb and pointer finger. didn t bleed to much but there is a gap. don t think i need a stitch but what do you suggest? obviously keep it clean but what can i put on it. thanks for any info...

Hello
This cut with a sharp weapon is known as sharp incision . If gap is more than 1 cm in width it require stitches but as you mentioned that this is simple so get one injection of tetanus .
Now for healing of wound , when such type of case visit I at once wash wound with anti septic solution ( as povidone ) , after wash apply or bandage with povidone ointment .
For precautionary measure I prescribe table ciprofloxacin 500 mg for 2-3 days twice in a day with aceclofinac 200 mg sr twice in day for 2-3 days .
This treatment is sufficient.
