Suggest Medication For Discomfort In Throat After Having Food

I was eating a piece of chicken when it felt like it went down the wrong pipe. Now I have discomfort on one side of my throat. It feels like I have food stuck in my throat. I drank plenty of water and it help a little. Is there any way to get rid of this discomfort?

Hi Dear,

Understanding your concern. As per your query have symptoms of discomfort in throat after having food which seems to be due to damage of cilia and leads to severe throat pain and dryness in throat.

I would suggest you to do gargling with silver hydrosol will help you alot. Keep yourself rehydrated with plenty of water and fluids. You should take antibiotics such as Augmentin for 5 days. Do warm saline gargles on daily basis. Use betadine rinses to clear throat. Avoid taking sharp, spicy food and extreme cold substances. Visit ENT specialist once if it keeps on hurting and go for laryngoscopy to examine inner mucosa.
