Suggest Medication For Extreme Soreness Of Throat And White Lump

My throat is extremely sore. I don't smoke or drink. I find it excruciating to swallow liquids or food, even swallowing saliva comes with pain. I have small red lumps at the roof of my mouth and have a few white lumps around my tonsils. Curiously enough, I have this big white lump behind my tonsil. I haven't had any symptoms of a cold (e.g runny nose) or fever. I noticed all this about 3 days ago and it's getting continuously worse.. To the point where I cant sleep due to the pain. Can you tell me what's wrong, and what I should do to help it?

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns...

As per your complain the symptoms seems to be due to bacterial throat infection leading to Peritonsillar Abscess or Quinsy and it occurs due to infection in tonsils that spread to surrounding soft tissues leading to infection and formation of pus filled abscess.
You should consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical examination can help in confirming the cause..
He can advise you to take antibiotics like Augmentin or Azithromycin and anti-inflammatory painkillers like Ibuprofen..
He can also do a needle aspiration to remove pus and at times incision and drainage can also be done..
