Suggest Medication For Fever, Weight Loss And Excessive Thirst

I have had a slight to moderate fever that comes and goes in hours daily for the past week and a half to 2 weeks. I am also very thirsty and drinking a lot of water and I have lost weight rapidly approximately 15 lbs (from 205 to 190). When I take some medicine tylenol etc and rest the fever goes away and later comes back. What could possibly wrong? 44 year old male with no health issues or allergies and on no medications

Hi,

You need to get FBS and HbA1C to rule out NIDDM.Take Paracetamol SOS and maintain Fever record 4 hourly. Take complete hemogram ESR and X-ray (chest). See a physician after investigation.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Prakash Gupta, Radiologist
