Suggest Medication For Gallstone Pain

My friend has significant gallbladder pain. She was in the hospital urgent care earlier this week they scheduled her for surgery yesterday but she was unable to make that appointment. We want to know if she should go into urgent care since she is in so much pain now, where should she wait until her scheduled surgery date of August 10?

Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
Gall bladder pain is caused due to obstruction of bile duct due to gall stone impaction. Hence, with regular antispasmodics and analgesics, the symptoms should only temporarily and partially subside.
Surgery is the only answer. It will be laproscopic surgery which will be done. It should be treated as emergency.
Kindly undergo operation at the earliest.
All the best.
