Hi

After stopping hormonal pills, change in vaginal bleeding is common. Heavy menstrual flow with abdominal cramps can occur due to the drug.

Incase of severe bleeding and discomfort, antifibrinolytics such as tranexaemic acid 500 mg can be taken two or three times a day based on the symptoms. The drug should only be taken for shorter duration of 3 to 5 days.

Associated nausea can reduce the appetite and cause weight loss. These symptoms will reduce in the subsequent days when the drug is completely removed from the body.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards
