Suggest Medication For High Blood Sugar

I was just diagonosed with Type II diabetes. I have been on janumet for 1 week. My levels really did not come down. Yesterday I called my Dr. and told her my sugar was 420 in the am. She told me to double up on the Janumet so I did. Woke up today my sugar is 545! Please help me. I don't know how to get my sugar down. Should I go to a hospital ER? This whole thing is really hard. I've been watching my diet also. Marjorie

Hello,
Your blood sugar levels are alarmingly high and you require an urgent treatment with injectable insulin.
Oral anti diabetics won't have any effect in such high sugar levels.
You must go to ER immediately as it could be life threatening also.
Thanks
