Suggest Medication For High Fever,cold And Cough

hi my sun is suffering with high fever, doctor suggested use meftal-p for three times a day, i have given after noon and night, but fever couldn't come down , he is not at all sleeping, he had a cold and cough too,

doctor suggested medicine meftal-p

Hello
Your son is having cough , fever , cold , all are an indication of viral infection or flu like disease.
Meftal-p act only an anti pyretic but amoxy+clavulanic also advised with bronchodilator . All medicines are in right direction but it will take 3-5 days for successful result , so please don't worry .
Drugs & disease require some time for its course .
In my opinion this is not a cause of concern.

If fever present ( even after this treatment ) more than 7 days consult another paediatrician and get his opinion.
Water sponging also provide relief.

Since how many days it has been you have started the medications? Antibiotics will take at least 2 days to act. If it has been more than 2 days , then you better consult your doctor again as antibiotic may have to be changed preferably to Azithromycin . Continue asthakind and meftal-P

Also give me steam inhalation and ask him to do salt water gargling .

tab. Cedon plus twice a day.
syp. macbery 2 tsp theice a day.
if u have no relief within three day. Then Do blood test.
