I am 43 and I weigh around 57 kgs, I would like gain at-least another 7-9 kgs. I play daily squash in the morning for an hour so have some physical activity. My appetite is on a lower side with high metabolism which causes difficulty in weight gain. Is it wise to have cypon ? if yes what should be the dose and any additional medicines.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
From your description it appears that you are not gaining weight due to poor appetite.
Kindly take appetizer-digestive enzyme preparations available over-the-counter in pharmacy regularly.
Continue to eat good carbohydrate diet, moderate lipids and good amount of proteins in the diet.
Eat calorigenic fruits like apple and banana everyday at night.
Continue with your physical activity as scheduled.
Gradually, your appetite should increase and your weight also should increase. However, keep a check on your weight regularly so as not to put on too much weight.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
