Hi, may I answer your health queries hi...i am a 21 yr old girl...i had my last period on 18th of dec...which lasted for 4 days and i have a regular 28 day cycle...i had unprotected sex on jan 1st and had an i-pill 2 days after this...now my periods are a week early and i got it on 11th of jan and it lasted for 9 days...my periods where heavy the 1st two days....and now after 7 days its heavy again!...my belly hurts and i am worried if i am pregnant can u please help me? i am really stressed out and scared!!! my body hurts!!!!right now ? Hi,
You had the intercourse during your fertile period. Yet, as you consumed the emergency pill within the stipulated time interval, you are amply protected. The cause of the early onset of the period, which is in fact a withdrawal bleed, is due to the hormone disturbance created by the excess hormone in the emergency pill. This has perhaps merged with your natural period and thus has caused the second spurt of bleeding. Please see a specialist for further help if you do not get relief within a couple of days. Hope this helps.
