Suggest Medication For Low Hemoglobin Count In The Body

my son s mother has low hemoglobin due to blood loss. prior to cesarian it was 11ish and now it is at 6.3, obviously a blood transfusion is necessary. I am curious however tho, should they have been supplementing her with iron if the blood loss issue was a concern from the get go?

Hello,

Treatment of anemia after CS is iron supplements, taking iron-rich food (leafy greens, beans, lentils, tofu, peas, brown rice, etc) vitamin C & adequate fluids.

Blood transfusion should be done as the hemoglobin level is too low for faster recovery.

She should go for a follow up check up to her gynae to confirm recovery & improvement in general health including the hemoglobin level.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
