Suggest Medication For Migraine Headache Caused In The Morning

I frequently have migraine headache during the early hours of the morning which continue till around mid day. My doctor prescribed Maxalt wafer 10 mg. This is very effective but the headache returns the next morning. I am concerned about the fact that I need these tablets so frequently and wonder if I should be worried about side effects. My neurologist is rather evasive when I bring this up with her.Can you give me your opinion.

maxalt wafer is a ergotamine group of drug , very effective drug for acute attacts of migraine , but in long term it can leads to vasoconstriction in different organs like coronary vessels and related complications. I can suggest you to change that drug to tab . amitriptyline 25 mg at night time and tab .sibelium 10 mg twice a day , these tablets can be used long-term course .
