Suggest Medication For Nausea, Headache, Joint Pain And Burning Sensation In The Neck

I have not been been feeling well for a couple days now. I have had nausea, been stressed, headaches, heartburn, joint pain, muscle pain, chills, non stop burning and throbbing sensation and swelling on the left side of my neck. Today a rash formed and it has a discoloration to it and is extremely painful And itchy. I m 24 so I thought I wasn t sure if it could be shingles. I had chicken pox when I was little but my breakout was 7 blisters and that was all. My nephew has recently gotten a chicken pox shot and I was wondering the possibilities shingles is what it is.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have nausea, headache, joint pain and burning sensation in the neck . Well the symptoms you mention in query can occur due to may reasons like tension headache , mumps , aseptic meningitis , cold exposure and viral syndrome .

But in your case the symptoms are probably due to viral infection , which will go away in few days without any treatment .I would suggest you to consult general practitioner for proper examination . Doctor may order blood test , examine physically and take history to confirm the diagnosis .

Doctor may prescribe antiviral drug like acyclovir along with anti pyretic and anaglesics . Doctor may also refer you to ENT specialist if there will be mumps or any other condition related to upper respiratory track infection or to neurolgist in case of nerve problem or migraine . .

Hope your concern has been resolved.
