First of all, I am 18, about 5 feet 10 inches, around 150 lbs, and have a normal healthy medical history. About five hours ago I went swimming in a river. I jumped off of a rock no higher than ten feet in the air into the water. When I surfaced from the water it felt like my ear had popped or had a bit of water in it. I shrugged it off figuring it would go away. My inner ear still hurts now and I am worried I somehow damaged my eardrum or something. I can still hear, and no fluid has leaked from my ear. The water was pretty warm, I did not go deep into the water, and I also jump from places higher than this very often and have never had this problem. Maybe the rushing river water caused it? I plan on getting it checked out tomorrow if it still hurts, but would appreciate any ideas of what might be the problem now.
