HI DOCTOR, FOR TWO DAYS I BEEN HAVING CHEST PAINS AND SHOULDERBLADE PAIN ON MY LEFT SIDE ITS DIFFICULT BREATHING AND ALSO VERY PAINFULWHEN I DO. ABOUT 3WEEKS AGO I WENT TO THE HOSPITAL FOR THIS SAME THING AND WAS TOLD NOT A HEARTATTACK THIS IS NOT GAS OR HEARTBURN I BEEN TAKING MYLANTA AND PEPCID AC AND ITS NOT WORKING. I BEEN VOMITING,SWEATS, AND TIRED, DRY MOUTH
Thanks for your question on HCM. Any left sided chest pain should be evaluated for cardiac cause first. Even though you were told that heart attack was not there but your present complaints like left sided chest pain, sweating, heaviness and arm pain all favours cardiac cause more. So please consult cardiologist and get done ECG and 2D ECHO to rule out cardiac cause. If this is normal than get done chest x ray to rule out pulmonary causes like infection. If this is also normal than it must be stress related. So avoid stress and anxiety.
