Suggest Medication For Pain In Throat And Difficulty Swallowing

Hello Doctor,

     I’m Samir Ahmed from Qatar. I’m 26 years old. Presently I’m working as a electrical drafter in Qatar. This is to inform you that, I have throat pain for the last 20+ days. I met two doctors, their given anti-biotic tablets. I took all the tablets but still not yet cure. I am getting pain when I swallow water or food. When I woke up in the morning I feel better. But after couple hours I’ll get the pain in my throat. Please let me know, what should I do sir?

Hi , as per your clinical history it appears as you are having pharyngitis .

If I were your treating doctor , I would prescribe you antiseptic mouthwash , Plenty of fluids , anti inflammatory Ibuprofen ,Macrolide Antibiotic azithromycin & vit c.

Certainly above treatment will give you much relief but if relief is not upto satisfaction level then consultation with your ENT doctor will become essential.
