Suggest Medication For Painful Sore Throat And Ear Ache

I have had a painful sore throat for the past 4 days with an earache for the past week, I don t have a temp. I have tried home remedies, my son had the same symptoms and seen by a Dr and tested negative for strep, if I do have a virus, what else can I do to relieve the painful sore throat and ear ache.?

Hi,
From history it seems that there might be having upper respiratory tract infection and radiating pain in the ears.
You might require one course of antibiotic for 3-5 days.
Meanwhile take anti-inflammatory, decongestant medicine for 2-3 days.Avoid cold drinks and junk food.
