Suggest Medication For Persistent Cough In An Elderly Person
My 78 year old mother in law coughing deeply last three nights; no sore throat, no chest hurt; congestion just on Thursday - first day; clinic prescribed levaquin (levofloxacin) one a day for 7 days; is there anything safe to take with this for continuous cough at night? like night time mucinex or anything?

You are not mention a duration and colour of cough.That one help in diagnosis.... Sputum culture test than start antibiotics course under doctor's suggestion....
