Hello and welcome to HCM,
Recurrent fever,
mouth breathing,
nasal congestion and coughing are suggestive of infection and some obstruction in nose.
Nasal congestion and mouth breathing are suggestive of
nasal obstruction.
Adenoid enlargement is a common cause of nasal obstruction in children.
I suggest you to consult an
ENT specialist for clinical assessment of the nasal cavity and to determine the cause of nasal obstruction and thus management.
If the obstruction turns out to be due to adenoids, then adenoids will have to be surgically removed.
Other causes of nasal obstruction include allergies, non-
allergic rhinitis, sinusitis, cold, influenza etc.
In the meanwhile, symptomatic treatment needs to be given for fever and infection.
Please take the drug prescribed by your doctor.
Penicillin drug should be taken with care since many people develop allergy to penicillin.
Thanks and take care
