Suggest Medication For Red Patches On Inner Thigh Due To Tick Bite

I removed a tick from the back of my leg almost a week ago to the day. A few days after the tick bite I noticed two red patches on the inner thigh of the leg which had the tick bite. It seems that the glands are swollen because it is very painful. A third gland has swollen but it is higher up on my inner thigh. I have also felt fatigued, a little fevered and my stomach has been upset. What are your thoughts?

Hello and welcome to HCM
From your history and symptoms, it seems you have developed an infection due to the tick bite.
Various ticks carry different kinds of infection. So, firstly, Check if you have removed the tick completely and not left any remnants in the skin.
You will need a course of antibiotics such as doxycycline 100mg for 10-14 days. Also you may be prescribed painkillers and meds for fever.
But I would advise you to consult a doctor, and check for any other symptoms you have. You must do a few blood tests to check for infection in blood and also to determine the presence of particular tick borne infection after which exact treatment can be started.
Till it clears, you will experience the symptoms of infection, swollen glands, fatigue, nausea etc.
Do not ignore the symptoms. See a doctor to confirm.
Hope this helps.
