Suggest Medication For Scars Noticed Due To Acne

Hi All,



I am having acne problem from last 12 years.I have done a lot of treatment but it still remains.Lately the condition has improved somewhat but i have 3-4 deep ugly scars which i want to remove.Please let me know what should i do to remove them..It will be great help if you can give me the solution.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have noticed scars noticed due to acne which occur due to post inflammation hyperpigmentation . I would suggest you to wash your face daily with cold water and face wash containing salycylic acid twice a day and apply cream containing azelac acid which is good for acne as well as marks . Apply aloe vera gel at night . If condition doesn't get well in a week then consult dermatologist for proper examination and treatment . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics like minocyclin, steroid ointment and may recommend chemical peeling for marks .
