Suggest Medication For Severe Anxiety And Depression
Hi Doctor. I am worried about my father. He has server anxiety and depression and is getting extremely violent day by day. My doctor prescribed me topaz 2.5 mg. is this effective? is there anything else that can be done to help him? he is very depressed, which is causing him to stop functioning normally, and he is extremely violent.

The symptoms you have mentioned like depressed mood, anxiety, violent abusive could occur due to uncontrollable depression. Atypical symptoms like violent behaviour can also be seen. Topaz can control mood but he is still having complaints of uncontrolled mood and depression. In such case medicines like low dose antipsychotics can prove useful. Olanzapine or risperidone can have good effects in improving his mood.
As the medicines I have mentioned are prescription medicines, you have to visit a psychiatrist for detailed prescription.
