Suggest Medication For Severe Cough During Pregnancy

i recently found out that I am pregnant and since then I have be having a coughing fit for the last month and half or two. I went and saw my doctor about a month ago and he said it was my asthma returning from childhood. and its getting to the point that I cough so hard I start vomiting. Is there anything I can take to help settle the cough?

Hi,
Asthma can be troublesome at any time. Since it's your childhood asthma which recurred, it's better if you undergo pulmonary function test and to know your lung functions. Accordingly inhalers or nebulisations can be prescribed.
The other most common cause of chronic cough in India is TB. So kindly get yourself thoroughly examined by your physician and then take a call.
