hi im 26 weeks pregnant and i feel pain in my throat..i think its tonsilitis and i have colds as well that makes me feel hot..going to fever..what will i do? what medications do i have to take? im afraid that medicines will affect my baby..thank you...
Any drug in pregnancy is not good to your baby but there is less toxic drugs you can use like category A or B drugs. You can use salt water gargling and water vapor inhalation.
Avoid cool drinks and freeze water. Use tablet AmoxicillinClavulanate twice a day for five days (category B), Tablet Cetirizine (category B) twice a day for five days.
If symptoms not improved, please consult your doctor, he/she will examine and treat you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
