Suggest Medication For Side Effects Of Cortisone Injection

I recently had a cortisone injection for frozen shoulder. Although my mensus was done for the past 5 months and I was feeling well, the shot put me back into all the symptoms of pre-menopause, including getting my period and SEVERE depression. How long can this last? Is there anything (short of more drugs) to counteract this problem?
