Suggest Medication For Sinus Infection Causing Swollen Face And Eye Watering
two weeks ago my eyes were streaming water and I developed a dreadful pain in my nose and cheeks. Doctor said it was a sinus infection and prescribed anti-biotic and nose drops. My face is very swollen, cheeks red with a rash, I have stomach cramps, shortness of breath when climbing small hills, and thirsty. The swelling does not seem to be going down. Somethimes I can see little lumps, not hard, which seem to move around.
Understanding your concern. As per query you have symptoms of sinus infection causing swollen face and eye watering which seems to be due to persistence of infection in sinuses.
I would suggest you to consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like PNS view x ray or MRI scan of sinuses and MRI scan .
You can be advised a course of antibiotics, anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen, decongestants like Pseudoephadrine, do saline nasal irrigation, steam inhalation and use a humidifier in your room. You can also be advised decongestant nasal sprays containing Xylometazoline or Oxymetazoline. Do warm compresses around nostrils.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
