Suggest Medication For Slurred Speech

Hi ,, well I was was involved in a wreck three months ago and I have a concusion. , now with slurred speech and I'm still slow with nerve damage in my neck on both sides, and several more ut I would like to kenos is there like atije line on the speech and memory issues to last long

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have dysarthria ( slurred speech ) . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like brain injury , brain tumor , cerebral palsy , multiple sclerosis , muscular dystrophy , parkinson's disease. I would suggest you to consult speech specialist ( neurologist ) for proper examination . Doctor may order MRI or CT scan of your brain, head and neck , brain and nerve studies , blood and urine tests to check inflammatory disease , spinal tap , brain biopsy or neuropsychological tests . Treatment will depend on the cause and severity of your symptoms .Doctor may recommend speech and language therapy that include adjusting speech rate, strengthening muscles, increasing breath support and improving articulation.
