My mom has Congestive heart failure, type two diabetes, high blood pressure and the possibility of kidney disease. Her stomach is very sour and she would like to take something that is over the counter to make her stomach feel better. What would you recommend?

Hello,

Sourness in the stomach is from acidity and this can be from drugs as well you had been consuming to manage heart disorders or diabetes as most drugs cause gastrointestinal upsets.

1. You take Lansoperazole for 15 days and avoid citrus fruits.
2. Avoid carbonated beverages and try milk in the diet.
3. If you are taking frequent coffee, then restrict it.
However, tea is better for the stomach and you can take that.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
