Suggest Medication For Sore Throat

Hi,My doctor asked me to take Kirkland acid reducer before bed time. She also told me to eat dinner at least 3 hours before bed time. I followed her instruction, the acid reflux was under control. However, my sore throat was still there, just feel a lump stuck at my throat, some salty stuff was coughed out. At night, if I did not drink some water, I woke up with blood spit out.Why is this? What could heal my throat? Another doctor suggested me to use salt water to guggle to sooth the throat. What should I do?Thanks,Kimberly
