Hi
Thank you for asking HCM
I have gone through your query. Acute pharyngitis or tonsillitis can give symptoms of sharp pain while swallowing during the acute phase. Steam inhalation , gargling warm saline , throat lozenges like strepsils etc will be helpful to get relief from this. Continue antibiotic to full course. If no improvement then have a follow up with your doctor to have review throat examination and change of antibiotic if necessary. Take war fluids like warm chicken soup with pepper , tea with lemon and honey etc.

Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
