Suggest Medication For Spots Appearing On The Skin

Doctor, I have these spots thts been bothering me for 8-9 years now. I'm not sexually active. This appeared when I was 14 and now I'm 23. This is how the spots look like: Waxy in appearance. 5 in number. First three spots are slightly raised. Do not itch, pain or blanch. Looks rather dark in colour in my dark brown skin complexion and looks slightly reddish under light. 2 or 3 small hairs can be seen growing on these spots and in some, black dots which look like hair follicles can be seen. The spots/lesions are intact for almost 9 years now. I went through some sites and came out with a few conditions: kaposi, dermatofibroma, shingles, lichen planus? Please Help. I'll provide you with the pics, if necessary.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have spots appearing on the skin which is because of sebaceous gland under the hair follicle , when sebum get accumulated in clogged duct of sebaceous gland along with dead skin and bacteria they produce acne. I would suggest you to wash you face 2-3 times a day with mild soap and warm water to prevent the accumulation of oil ,dust and bacteria on your face. Avoid pricking these spots as it will leave permanent marks on skin.Apply vitamin E oil at night. Apply kojic acid cream on face. Avoid greasy creams ,use water based products. Apply clindamycin gel as well. Don't pick or touch acne. If acne still persists consult dermatologist for proper examination. Doctor may prescribe ointments containing benzyol peroxide, azelaic acid or retinoids. You can go for laser therapy as well.

Hope your concern has been resolved.
