Suggest Medication For Swelling And Bruise Below The Toe Of Left Foot

I got up suddenly out of bed and tried to stand but my left foot had "fallen asleep". I twisted my foot and now it is swollen and bruised along the outside all the way down to my toes. It has been about 6 days, still hurts especially when I walk on it, what should I do? Will it heal without medical attention?
