Suggest Medication For Swelling And Pain In Shin Area Due To A Injury

I have a injured shin 2 days ago, I got an x-ray and nothing is broken but the swelling is really bad. I have iced it and elevated it but when I elevate it I get an extreme stinging pain in my ankle. The ankle is also numb. Should I seek further medical treatment or will this issue subside when the swelling goes down?
