Suggest Medication For Swelling Of Glands In Throat And At Back Of Head

While attending a wedding in Idaho, my daughter,27, noted that her glands in her throat, and back of head were swollen. Additionally her throat was sore and she felt a bit miserable. A day later when she returned home she felt to ill to go to work and noticed a rash or pimple-like bumps on her trunk, top of legs and arms. Could this be a reaction to strep?

Hi,
Welcome to healthcare magic.
I had gone through your question.
I can understand your concern.
All these could be due to streptococcus throat infection. She needs a throat swab and ASO titre evaluation for confirmation.
I recommend the following.
1) A course of antibiotics.
2) Analgesic like tablet paracetamol or ibuprofen for pain relief.
3) Salt water gargling. add a pinch of salt to a glass of warm water.
She will be fine.
Hope I have answered your question. If you have any questions, I am happy to help.
Wish her a good health and speedy recovery.
Regards,
