Suggest Medication For Vaginal Discomfort Due To Stitches

I am 6 days out after anterior and posterior vaginal repair as well as Hysterectomy (Uterus & Cervix) Could you tell me what type of cream should be used on the outside of vulva area due to dryness and also I have very hard stitches protruding from entrance of vagina which I would think would need to be kept soft so as they will dissolve I am aware that I am not to put creams inside vagina, but the stitches are extremely uncomfortable when trying to sit down.
