Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have possible chances of pregnancy and you want abortion for that, well i don't recommend abortions. If you are not prepared you should take proper preventive methods to avoid it. I would suggest you to get dipstick pregnancy test done and if it comes out to be positive then i would suggest you to take Unwanted kit which is used for the medical method of abortion. This contains the tablets mifepristone and misoprostol which is an effective method of abortion for pregnancies less than 7 weeks gestation. You should do it under supervision of medical practitioner after getting transvaginal ultrasonography.

Hope your concern has been resolved.

Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Delay in periods could be possibly due to pregnancy. But, confirm it by getting your urine tested for pregnancy. If confirmed and you do not wish to continue, you could abort it by taking abortion pills (pregnancy less than 12 weeks only), but under medical supervision. Otherwise, it may cause certain complications, which can be life-threatening too.
The process uses two drugs:
1. Mifepristone - it is an anti-progesterone, binds to the progesterone receptor to block the receptor, thus inhibiting progesterone from binding. Mifepristone also softens and dilates the cervix, causes placental detachment), increases uterine lining prostaglandin release and increases uterine contractions.
2. Misoprostol - it causes contractions of the womb and as a consequence, the womb expels the pregnancy.
Using Misoprostol alone to cause an abortion will be successful 90% of the time. If it is not effective during the first time, you can try again after 3 days.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
