Suggest Medication To Cure Itchy Throat And Cough When Diagnosed With Hypertension

Hi! I am Erlinda Manahan, 59 years old, has a weight of 42 kgs and is 4 11 in height. I have been diagnosed with hypertension and is taking lossartan potassium 100 mg and ambesyl 20 mg. Now, it s almost a week that I have been bothered by itchy throat and cough. I have tried taking lemon with tea & honey, have tried taking pei pa koa but up to now I can not sleep at night because of that. What can I do?

Hi.
Thanks for your an elucidate history, which is giving the cause also.
Losartan and ambesyl , the anti-hypertensive medicines can cause the itchy throat and five rise to cough.
I would advise you to get back to your Physician and request for change over to another medicines for blood pressure.
Also get an opinion of the ENT Surgeon to make sure that you do not have granular Pharyngitis or such local causes that too can cause your symptoms; if present take the medicines as per His advise.
