Suggest Medication To Delay Menstruation For A Week

My boyfriend has planned a big trip for valintines day weekend and I just realized that I will have my period for valintines day. I am on the nuva ring and I have my period right now. Can I skip a week of putting the nuva ring in so it shifts my period for the weekend after valintines day?! Will this work!? And do you have any other suggestions?
