good morning i just got my period yesterday, and im not sure if this is unhealthy but i need it to stop as i have a trip this weekend, i dont want to go away permanently , just this time as its really a wrong time can you please help with ways to either make it go away or end it before time thank you

Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Periods can be postponed by taking medications few days before the due date.
Once the periods start, it doesn't stop until all of the uterine lining and the egg is flushed from your body.
Hence, you need to wait for it to complete as there are no medications available to stop the ongoing periods immediately.
However, taking Ibuprofen tablets every six hours on a full stomach can help to reduce your flow by about 50%. Kindly consult your doctor before you start taking so much Ibuprofen to reduce flow during the period.
