Suggest Medication To Help Quit Smoking

I have to stop smoking. I had in the past use wellbutin and had a seizure. I have, something in my genes or somewhere that can cause me seizures. Ididn't know that. My Dr. wants me to take a smaller amount of it. Is there another product that can help me quit smoking?

Thanks for asking from HCM

Wellbutrin or Bupropion is a good drug that reduces anxiety and craving after a person stops smoking. The drug reduces seizure threshold so possibly it could have caused seizure, but you have mentioned that you have seizures before also. Still the drug increases the risk of seizures. Other drug like Varenicline can prove useful in your case. The drug help to reduce symptoms due to nicotine withdrawal and it doesn't cause seizures.

Nicotine gums will also prove useful in your case. The gums replace amount of nicotine of smoking and help to reduce symptoms. Consult a Psychiatrist for expert opinion.

Thanks
