I am planning a vacation about two weeks from now (November 7). This is around the time that I normally get my period. Is there anything I can do to induce it earlier than November 7th or skip it for the month? I am not on any birth control or medications right now.
For adjusting the dates of menstruation - whether to prepone or postpone - the medicines are same. You may take Tab. Deviry or birth control pills for 5 days and 4-7 days later you will get withdrawal bleeding. These tablets have to be started at least 7 days before the expected date of menstruation. If started later, they may not act.
Since after discontinuing these pills, the exact date of bleeding cannot be predicted, it is safer to use them for postponement than for preponement. However, if you take them well in advance, may be 14 days or even earlier before the expected menses, you may successfully prepone the menses.
For postponement, start either Tab. Deviry or birth control pills 7 days before the menses. Then continue them till the date you do not mind having menses any day after that. Then 4-7 days after discontinuing these pills, you will get withdrawal bleeding.
It is likely that your next menses after this may be delayed by few days.
I hope this helps you.
