General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi

After your menstrual bleeding has started it is very difficult to stop the bleeding.

Drugs used to modify the timing of bleeding should be used atleast 3 days before the expected date of periods and can be taken 5 to 7 days maximum.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards
Dr.Saranya Ramadoss, General and Family Physician
